Your Chamber is trying a
different approach for 2013 in that all monthly
general meetings will be more for networking and social
between business members, with a speaker giving a short
presentation and of course lunch. The business portion
of the general meeting will be five minutes or less and
we will be done in an hour. We hope to bring in some
good speakers this year and do what we can to promote
the New Paris/Jefferson Twp. area as well as our
business membership. Please plan on attending and give
us some ideas on how we can promote your business
better.
Our board meetings will be held
separately with the date/place/time listed here on the
website
www.newparisoh.com Any current member is welcome to
attend the board meetings if they so desire.
Our June meeting will be on Tuesday June 25th at noon. It will be at Southern Comfort Restaraunt. Located next door to the Country Side Golf Club.
The speaker will be Bonnie Hoff,
New Paris AppleFest Chairperson. She will be bringing us
up to date on the upcoming AppleFest, which is around
the corner now...Sept. 27th, 28th and 29th.
We hope that you will attend our
newly formatted meetings each month and we welcome
suggestions for speakers. If you wish to promote your
business through our website we have a "member spotlight
page" that can feature your business for a month or
more. This feature is free and part of your membership.
Just contact the webmaster via the contact page of our
website, it's simple.
So five minutes of business,
networking, lunch and an informative speaker should make
for a much better NP Chamber/CVB meeting. We sincerely
hope that you will join us at Valley's Edge on February
26th at noon.
Regards...
Colin Gatland
NP Chamber/CVB President

Thanks to EVERYONE that came out and supported the annual food drive! We had the best year ever and that was all because of you! We collected $3,200 in cash and 4,400 units of food for the New Paris Food Pantry. This will make a huge difference in helping our neighbors in need here in New Paris. Thanks to Bill Sweet for his compassion and giving of his time each year to ensure that the folks in New Paris have a place to turn to for food when they are hungry and in need. It's people like this that truly make our community blessed.
Together we can make a difference for someone!
Thanks for supporting YOUR New Paris Neighbors!

Don Simon, long time art teacher at Trail, now retired and living in New Paris, is also the talented person that created the fantastic Mural that adorns the wall in the main entry hall of National Trail School. Entitled "The National Road Mural" it shows the National Road, its history and the importance of it coming through Ohio & our own Preble County. Don has authored a book about the mural and everything that it took to make it happen at Trail. He has graciously decided to give $5 from the sale of each book to the National Trail School Foundation, this will help to continue their goals of helping the youth of National Trail School and our community as a whole. Please consider purchasing a copy for your personal library or to give as a gift to a friend or family member. Please CLICK HERE (or on the thumbnail of the book cover to your right) to go to Don's website where you can order your copy, shipping is included, & remember it also helps the NTSF. Thank You!
The New Paris Community Food Pantry would like to thank the public for supporting the Day of Caring event which was held at National Trail. Fifty-nine volunteers logged 175 hours as we served 225 people a brunch featuring pancakes, bacon, sausage, scrambles eggs, biscuits and gravy, assorted pastries, orange juice and milk.
